I just don’t get it. I don’t know where I lost it or where I should have picked it up…. People tell me it’s an innate male quality for men to be dominant and provide for those they love. Men instinctively are “masculine” and do “manly” things. While girls love to be pampered, raise children, and spend their lovers money…
Maybe it’s just because I’m gay, but I’m ok with all of the above and none of them. I don’t think each gender has a specific role they instinctively know how to do. I can be a pampered, dominant, child raiser, and money earner if that’s what needs done.
Using your gender as a crutch for your actions isn’t a legitimate claim. Be a person. Nothing annoys me more than hearing things like “but I’m a girl I can’t do x,” or “you’re a man, you can’t be in the kitchen! Go watch tv!”
